Pétanque is a timeless French game similar to Bocce, in which the goal is to toss the wooden balls (the boules) and get them as close as you can to a small wooden target ball (the jack). It’s easy to pick up and can quickly grow competitive as you and your friends knock each other’s boules out of play.
